Q&A Screening vs Surveillance colonoscopy

U.S. preventive services task force says individuals with a personal hx of cancer or adenomatous polyps are followed by a surveillance regimen, and screening guidelines are not applicable. Do you agree with this? And where can I find guidelines on this ? I have had troubles with our local hospital coding as a screening when pt's have hx of cancer and or polyps. Is it correct to use screening on pt's that have a hx ? I say no but want to check with others to see what their thoughts are on this.
